Born on 29th February 1968 in the south-east of Haiti, Jean Marie Domond comes from a large family. He grew up among his brothers and sisters by going to primary school in his hometown, a school run by the little sisters of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus. After his elementary school terminated, he immigrated to Port-au-Prince to join his brothers and sisters to continue his secondary studies. In 1991, he completed his secondary school and entered university. In 1994, he acquired his bachelor’s degree in business administration with honours and was the president of “Haut Les Coeur’s”. Shortly after, he began to work in accounting at the GB group at Stewart Industries. At the same time, he was studying for a second bachelor’s degree in accountancy, which he acquired from the University of Port-au-Prince, Institute of Management and Accounting in 1998. He left the GB group in 1996 and worked as an administrator and professor at First School, school of Secretariat and Ticketing. Shortly after, he left to take the post of an accountant at SOPRIN SA.
