Dr Abdullatif Al Shamsi is the President & CEO of the Higher Colleges of Technology, or HCT, which is the largest higher educational institution in the UAE, with about 23,000 male and female students attending 16 campuses located throughout the UAE. In his role, he oversees the strategic directions of HCT, ensuring they are aligned with the UAE Government vision. We continually strive for excellence in all our student-oriented endeavours and initiatives to provide them with a smooth, enjoyable and successful journey from admission to employment.
HCT is the largest supplier of graduates in the UAE, with more than 67,000 alumni graduated and over 92,000 qualifications issued in its 30-year history. It is the first institution to establish an economic free zone within the campuses, in order to fulfil its mandate – not only to graduate students but also to graduate companies. This is in line with the declared Fifty-Year Charter of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
