It also requires the characteristics of a “peaceful warrior”. My career has also afforded me the opportunity to work and live in Europe, USA, Canada, India and China. This array of roles and cultures has enabled me to truly harness the diversity of cultures and customer-centric best in class practices from around the globe. Some of the key chapters in my career include working for Xerox Corporation as their CFO EMEA during a very challenging period in Xerox’s development. I have also had the opportunity to hold Partner roles with Accenture and PwC, where I have been responsible for leading large scale and complex business digital transformation programmes both in the public and private sectors. My foundation skills, therefore, have been honed in business, regulatory and consulting environments. One of those foundation skills includes TQM which enabled me to evolve my operational excellence skills. I was fortunate to be the EMEA Quality Director for Xerox Corporation; during which time the company won the European, British, France and Netherlands Quality Awards. My digital leadership skills in- clude leading large scale and complex digital transformation programmes, revenue growth, strategic cost management, profit generation, re-engineering busi- ness models, board governance, strategic consulting, enterprise transformation, procurement, supply chain networks, workforce strategy, and cultural change management. I have always enthusiastically embraced the challenges that change brings in major multina- tional end-to-end strategic cost turnaround and transformation programmes. My career experi- ence stretches across multiple sectors, including Telecommu- nications, Retail, Media, Health- care, Financial Services, Tech- nology and Public Sectors. My consulting and executive transformation assignments have included multi-billion dollar organisations, where I have been responsible for leading them through complex operational and commercial change agendas involving multiple stakeholders across multiple geographies. As an integral part of these transformations, I have also been responsible for upskilling the organisation to develop high trust and high-performance teams. I am also a recognised keynote speaker on Digital Transforma- tion, Collaborative Commerce, Enterprise, Procurement and Supply Chain Transformations. I have also had the pleasure of jointly publishing a book with one of the Big 4 consulting firms on World Class Business Govern- ance and Internal Control. I have also co-authored a book on the Firestorm – Global Collaborative Commerce, as well as having numerous articles published on digital mastery, 4.0 procurement models, programme manage- ment, and operational excel- lence. The Perfect Storm : #Digital By Design I personally believe that we are entering the “perfect storm” fea- turing a significant period where the economic and political land- scape will shift dramatically. This shift will be driven by social change, climate conditions and the rapid growth of intelligent technologies. It will result in the need for companies to quickly become digitally native, this in- cludes having a visual “Digital First”strategy that enables Digital By Choice for customers,# Digital By Design for service offerings and Digital By Default for the enabling infrastructure and pro- cesses (Figure1). Digital DNA & Digital Ecosystems Being digitally native also means ensuring that digital is embedded into the DNA of your organisa- tion ( See Figure 2). This means that the business culture and processes need to be designed so that they are directly aligned to the business strategy and are ETDBW – Easy To Do Business With from a customer, internal process and infrastructure per- spective It is also essential that the business effectively engages the whole extended ecosystem in terms of heart, heads and hands. This is achieved by optimising the digital forces to support a value-driven customer- centric outside-in mentality to process redesign, innovation, node to node transparency and the collaboration of the whole ecosystem or Digital Extended Enterprise Process (DEEP). Delivering the Largest Digital Transformation Collaboration in the World This CEO Today Global 2019 Award also recognises our recent work where we supported the largest digital transformation collaboration in the world. This transformation included transforming the Order To Cash and Purchase To Pay processes for global telecommunications, media and professional services companies based in China. The organisations involved have global revenues of over US$100+ billion I also believe that this award recognises our collaborative and inclusive approach to truly transforming the ecosystem or Digital Extended Enterprise Pro- cess of our clients. This DEEP collaboration process has de- livered US$ 10+ billion to our clients, in sustainable improved value for money, savings and operational benefits. This rep- resents an average 20:1 ROI payback return for our clients. Digital Value Book: Node to Node Knowledge Our Digital Transformation playbook includes the creation of intelligent operations centres and the establishment of 4.0 Target Operating Models. This digital playbook also incorporates a Value Book(See Figure 3) which is our evidence-based way of measuring the sustainable node to node value being delivered by the digital transformation programme.
